Our Story: A Legacy Sewn With Care

For as long as I can remember, my mom, Vera, sat behind her sewing machine. For 34 years, that was her place—marked by fabric spread across the table, chalk on her hands, and pins carefully placed with a deep care for the women who would wear her work.
From Personal Struggle to Purpose
Vera spent her career creating clothing meant to make women feel confident and comfortable. However, when bladder leaks entered her own life, she experienced the frustration of products that delivered discomfort, irritation, and quiet embarrassment. She hated how these common issues made women feel so alone.
One evening, she looked at me and said: “There has to be something better than this.” That was the true beginning of Vera’s Undies.
The Journey of the Craft
In June 2022, my mom returned to her sewing machine, not to build a brand, but to solve a problem for herself and women like her. She experimented with layers and fabrics, seeking something soft, feminine, and genuinely protective. By August 2022, she had hand-stitched her first working prototype in her small studio.
Two months later, she shared her creation with friends and neighbors. The feedback stopped her in her tracks: “I feel like myself again.” That single sentence changed everything.
A Community of Confidence
In January 2023, Vera quietly launched her first official design: Vera’s Signature Leakproof Underwear. It featured her trademark 4-layer black protection system, designed to wick, absorb, lock in leaks, and neutralize odor without bulk or noise.
Word spread fast. By the end of 2023, more than 20,000 women across the US were wearing Vera’s underwear every day. This included women after surgery, after childbirth, and through menopause—women who finally felt seen. What my mom created wasn’t just underwear; it was relief, dignity, and confidence.
Carrying the Legacy Forward
Today, I am honored to carry this legacy forward. After selling out during Black Friday, I brought Vera back into the studio to refine what already worked:
- Improved Stitching: Enhanced for better durability.
- Enhanced FluidCore: Redesigned for even stronger leak protection.
- Preserved Fit: Keeping everything women already loved about the feel.
We have completed a small, final restock, rooted in the same care my mom has poured into every stitch from the beginning. Vera’s standards, her compassion, and her belief in women remain the heart of everything we do.
